The mission of Cabarrus County Partnership for Children (Partnership) is to connect Purpose, People, and Programs for Ensure Child Well Being.   The Partnership provides programs in early childhood education, health, and family support and education for children 0 – 5 years old.


Early Education & NC Pre-Kindergarten

The Partnership provides a child care subsidy program for children 0 – 5 years of age.   The Partnership is also the administrator for the NC Pre-Kindergarten Program in Cabarrus County.   If you are question or are interested in registering for these programs, please contact the Partnership at 704-933-8278

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a free book delivered monthly to your child’s home address from birth up to age 5.   If you are interested in enrolling your child, please go to and click to register for Dolly Parton Imagination library and your child will receive a free book each month until they are 5 years of age.  Any questions, please call 704-933-8278

Parents As Teachers

Parents As Teachers is a home visiting program that empowers parents and caregivers to give their children the best possible start in life by providing information about the ages and stages of early childhood, activities to encourage learning and support for parents as they guide their young children through this fun and exciting time of growth and learning.   Bilingual Parent Educators are available.  If interested, please contact Families First at 704-202-5057 or

Celebrating Families!

Celebrating Families! is an evidence based cognitive behavioral, support group model written for families in which one or both parents have a serious problem with alcohol or other drugs and in which there is a high risk for domestic violence, child abuse, or neglect.   If interested, please contact Families First at 704-202-5057



M.O.D.E.L.S. is a support group for pregnant and/or parenting teens held in the community.  Meetings provide these parents with an opportunity to learn all about parenting, share ideas, celebrate accomplishments, and address the challenges surrounding parenting.   If interested, please contact LaShonda Houston at 704-978-TEEN.


Empowering & Supporting Mothers in Recovery

Empowering & Supporting Mothers in Recovery is a parenting support group for mothers and soon to be mothers who desire to live free from substance use.  5 years of recovery or 5 minutes of recovery – All are welcome.   Groups are held every other Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the CDSA Office in Concord, NC.   For more information, please call Geneva at 704-467-1100.
